The Classic Sports Car Club organises grass-roots motorsport, for cars of all ages. Lotus Cup Europe is the world’s biggest factory-approved championship for Lotus cars. It has FIA International Series status and races at many of Europe’s most famous circuits, supporting prestigious events including DTM, 24 Heures Camions and the Hockenheim Historic. Lotus Cup Europe regularly attracts grids of more than 30 cars, split into three classes for V6-powered Evoras and Exiges, Four-cylinder cars including the 2-Eleven, Exige and 340R, and a Production class for Elises. The championship points system allows drivers from all three classes to challenge for the overall championship.
Maximum Motorsport is a Sutton Coldfield based race team. The team previously competed in BTCC and currently competing in VW Cup, Britcar and TCR UK. The 206 GTi Cup is for the Peugeot 206 GTi model only in 136 bhp engine configuration, manufactured between 1999-2006. It’s a cost-effective way to enjoy motorsport with a standard production specification hot hatch with no drivetrain modifications allowed to ensure this series is in the price bracket for new racers and experienced race hobbyists alike.
The emphasis is on driver ability and not large technical budgets, which is why the regulations are controlled for the series to ensure the cars are equal in performance. This has proved to give some very close results over the last season.
You can convert your own streetcar to cheaply conform to our series and the Motorsport UK regulations, or if you’d rather have one of our club build teams do the hard work for you there are a number of affordable options available.
