The RaceSense Advanced Tyre Gauge combines a precision pressure gauge with a pyrometer in a rugged case. Clever software provides some unique functions to save time. Pressures and temperatures are automatically logged and can be synced easily to iOS and Android phones and computers.

Jim Irlam, RaceSense’s developer said “I was really surprised by the poor accuracy of common tyre gauges and how little functionality is provided by many accurate gauges. So I set out to design a precision fully featured gauge and in the process also made it tough. During development we refined the prototypes with input from technicians, mechanics, drivers and race teams.”
The gauge has some special features which really help in the pits. There is an automatic multi-tyre mode which allows all tyres to be checked without pressing any buttons. Initial and adjusted pressures are recorded. Tyre temperatures can also be sampled using a standard Type K thermocouple probe. Syncing the data to smartphone adds location and weather conditions too. Apps are available free for iOS and Android and data can be emailed and exported to spreadsheets etc. There is no need to remember data or write on bits of paper. An offset mode shows difference in pressure from desired values so that real pressures are not revealed.
Gauge features
Pressure units can be psi, bar, kPa or kg/cm2. Thermocouple interface supports any type K probe. Automatic 2 and 4 tyre mode support pressure checks without pressing any buttons, starting tyre and direction can be set. 7 presets allow different settings for up to 7 cars and include car number, tyre set, session name and more.
App features
NFC syncing using tap to your phone and view the data in the app. Shows maximum and adjusted pressures for each tyre, 3 temperatures per tyre. Auto-senses GPS location, weather and wind conditions. Add notes, edit, export data, analyse hot and cold runs (NFC enabled phone required: Phone 7 and above, Android 5.5+).
Design
Diecast powder-coated aluminium case, brass valve and tyre chuck, polycarbonate screen, stainless steel fixings and belt clip. Supplied with protective padded carry case. Sunlight readable OLED display. USB connection for recharging, upgrading and data download (battery life > 3 months in standby or 24 hours continuous use).
